While Peter was speaking, a cloud appeared and covered them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.” When
the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples
kept this to themselves and did not tell anyone at that time what they
had seen. (Luke 9: 34-36)
Peter's anxious voice is interrupted by the Father's voice of blessing speaking out of the cloud.
Does
your walk with the Lord ever give you the sense that you are in a
cloud? Mine does. Next time you're there, consider closing your eyes
to ignore the fog and opening your ears to hear the Father's voice
declaring something similar over you:
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3: 17)
