Hands, foreheads, doorframes and gates
In Deut. 6; 8-9 the Israelites were told this about God's laws: "Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
To put it another way: place God's Word around you in your daily life so that its shaping power is with you all day long. What would be the equivalent for us today? On our electronic devices? On our fridges? The wall behind our desks? I"m always heartened when I see hand-written Scriptures on the walls here at Redeemer. Where might you place significant Scriptures in your environment today?
